Job overview
1 x Substantive Practice Education Practitioner, Band 6, 30 hours/week
The post holder will work in partnership with the Practice Education Facilitator and will be responsible for ensuring the provision of high-quality practice education support and delivery across the Trust to ensure that the professional development needs of learners and educators across each hospital/LCO/MCS across the Group are met. The post holder will support and take responsibility for aspects of the Trust education strategies through the delivery of education programmes and will act as an exemplary role model for learners exhibiting the Trust values and behaviours.
Main duties of the job
Assuring visibility in learning environments across the Trust to facilitate the support of learners and support the delivery of practice education as required. Supporting learners to identify and achieve their learning needs in line with their programme requirements, supporting the provision of constructive feedback within a safe and effective learning environment.
Empowering teams through innovation and role modelling, engaging in the delivery of Trust wide education policies and strategy to promote a culture where practice education is valued and enabling effective learning environments. Contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of evidence-based practice education programmes for nursing, midwifery and AHP learners and educators across the Trust in line with Trust and national policy e.g., clinical skills, reflective discussions.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Registered with professional body (NMC/HCPC/GPHC)
- Graduate
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of Masters (level 7) study
- Appropriate teaching and education qualification
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Understanding of curriculum development including the generation of learning outcomes
- Current knowledge of professional regulatory body requirements and national policy
- Involvement with quality improvement methodology and outcome measurement
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office-Word, Excel. Powerpoint, Access
- Knowledge of different methods/styles for teaching and learning underpinned by theory
Training and Experience
Essential criteria
- Broad range of post qualifying application clinical experience for a number of years
- Experience of teaching, supervising and assessing healthcare learners in the learning environment
- Experience of having worked across professional and organisational boundaries
- Involvement in the development and implementation of evidence based systems and procedures

- Practical experience of facilitating change
