Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Estates and Facilities Team at the Oxford Road Campus for a new Estates and Facilities Assistant reporting to the Estates and Facilities Officer (ORC). The role will be responsible for the monitoring of the services provided by the PFI partner (Sodexo) and supporting the E&F officer. The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge and experience of working within a healthcare environment.

Main duties of the job

Act as a flexible resource to support the Estates & Facilities team (Oxford Road Campus (ORC)) in any aspect of Compliance, Monitoring and Improvement, Risk and Governance.

To work closely with any members of the Operational Estates and Facilities team at ORC to assist in improving the quality and compliance of Estates and Facilities service delivery.

Work closely with the E&F Soft and Hard FM teams to ensure Estates and Facilities service delivery is the best it can be.

Obtain information from the relevant building management teams to understand any Estates or Facilities compliance issues and escalate any issues as necessary.

Support the Estates & Facilities Operations Officer (ORC) in monitoring and overseeing Estates and Facilities risk, improvement and governance processes and reporting systems, ensuring that Trust policies and procedures are adhered to.

Develop effective relationships and networks with members of the wider Estates and Facilities teams as well as the relevant building management teams to establish and share best practice.

Provide, receive, and share routine information with relevant team members and external contacts from both planned and reactive tasks.

Support the review of incident reports and record validation where necessary, ensure appropriate Estates and Facilities (ORC) team members are notified of outcomes and action is taken, support investigations and the collation of or completion of required reports.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience
