You’ll communicate in a sensitive and compassionate manner with patients, relatives, and other members of the multi-disciplinary team, working flexibly over 5 days. 

Main duties of the job

The therapeutic activity coordinator will lead on developing a therapeutic activity programme, facilitating groups and individual interventions and activities to support patients in their recovery goals. The post holder will work as a member of the multidisciplinary team, liaising closely with nursing and therapy staff to design person centred activities contributing positively to the emotional and psychological wellbeing of patients.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent relevant experience/HSC Diploma Level 3 Advanced/Higher apprenticeship Level 3
Desirable criteria
  • Additional qualifications/experience: Art therapy Play work Music therapy

Experience

  • Experience of individual and/or group interventions
  • Commitment to patient centred non-discriminatory practice
