Job overview
The post-holder will join a team of community Paediatricians who provide community services for Oldham children.
Paediatric outpatient clinics are held in Werneth Primary Care Centre, Oldham. Referrals come from the neurodevelopmental pathway, GPs and 0-19 service. The Community Paediatricians have district wide responsibility in their area of special expertise (including Neurodisability, looked after children, epilepsy and complex disability) and cover a geographical patch of the city. The post holder will provide community Paediatric care in special school sites, across the city, including joint working with partner agencies.
The service is located with other children’s community services in the community hub at Werneth Primary Care Centre. This allows for multidisciplinary working and good communication across the services.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will deliver community paediatric clinics, take part in the multidisciplinary assessment and management of children with neurodevelopmental conditions and contribute to the ongoing development of an established neurodevelopmental pathway.
Applicants with particular interest in SUDC, epilepsy, cared for Children and children with complex physical needs are welcomed.
