Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Reception Team at Forest House, Oldham. 

This is a job share one being 15 hours and the other 22.5 hours covering office hours Monday to Friday on site.

Main duties of the job

You will be the first point of contact for patients, visitors and colleagues.  Successful applicants will need to have excellent people skills, be able to remain calm in a fast-paced environment and be familiar with working on computerised systems.

Flexibility is essential for sickness and holiday cover.

Person specification

Education / Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • GCSE in Maths or English or equivalent

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of working within a reception/customer care setting
  • Experience of working with the general public
Desirable criteria
  • NHS Experience

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Good computer skills; use of Microsoft Office programmes including Outlook.
  • Understanding of administrative processes.
Desirable criteria
  • A basic understanding of Mental Health Services.

Skills and Abilities

Essential criteria
  • Ability to organise self, work flexibly and prioritise workload.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate with service users.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and individually.
  • Ability to use own initiative
