We provide mental health recovery services across many regions within the UK.
Our services consist of support living and community outreach services which provide our residents and service users with access to 24 hr support from experienced clinical and support staff.
Main duties of the job
What we are looking for
We are currently recruiting an enthusiastic and motivated Team Leader to join our team in Partington Trafford. You will be committed and have the values, passion, and determination in putting people first, whilst supporting lives of people with a learning disability or mental health illness.
It can be quite challenging at times, but the rewards are truly amazing to see our residents improving with the support we provide!
As a Team Leader, you will be supporting our service users whilst working closely with your team of Support Workers to ensure they are providing the necessary support to our residents as part of their rehabilitation. Previous experience of working with vulnerable adults with learning disabilities or a mental health illness will be beneficial for this position.
As part of this role you will work closely with a variety of colleagues and support staff to prioritise outcome-focused support to our customers.

Hours of work
The role is a full-time position working 38.5 hours per week. This role requires a level of flexibility as you’ll be working on a day shift pattern rational 7 days per week, including weekends.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Your Responsibilities
- To work alongside the Service Manager and the team members in the day-to-day-running of the service
- Ensure duties are allocated to team members effectively and safely whilst on duty
- Support service users with day to day activities enabling them to be able to live a full and as independent life as possible.
- Ensuring that our service users are at the heart of everything we do.
- Support service users whilst taking of prescribed medication.
- Supervise support workers in the delivery and support to our service users.
- Be flexible to provide support in out of hours should the service requires this
- Working positively and collaboratively with other colleagues within the team
- Support your own staff team to maintain effective professional relationships with service users, their families, colleagues, and other key stakeholders
- Work within and implement our policy and procedure, including confidentiality and safeguarding.
- Escalate as appropriate any concerns or issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure service user records are maintained and kept up to date whilst reporting in a factual and ‘person centred’ approach.
- Ideally, you will have gained previous experience and have a good understanding of mental health rehabilitation or have gained your level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care.

Essential criteria
- Gained or working towards Level 3 in Health & Social Care
- Computer literacy - knowledge Excel/ Windows Office software applications including: SharePoint, Excel, Word
- Experience in Mental Health or Learning Disability settings and/ or challenging behaviours
Desirable criteria
- Meet all the criteria set out in the job description and specification
