We have an opportunity to enable you to develop and enhance your post-registration knowledge and skills whilst contributing to a high standard delivery of Pharmacy services in mental health.
You will be fully supported on a training pathway, within a friendly working environment, undertaking a wide range duties and across our sites, that make up the role of our Rotational Pharmacy Technicians.
This will include a newly created rotation and a very exciting opportunity to further embed pharmacy services and ward based duties on our adult forensic unit - Riverside.

Main duties of the job
This post is open to all registered Pharmacy Technicians both newly qualified and experienced who would like to start or continue a career in hospital pharmacy.
To provide quality, effective pharmacy services to improve patient care within inpatient and community mental health settings.
To promote further development of the pharmacy technician’s role within the Trust.
Undergo and successfully complete within agreed time periods, formal in-house training as appropriate for personal and professional development to meet the job description of a Band 5 pharmacy technician.

Person specification
Qualification and experience
Essential criteria
- Registered Pharmacy Technician with GPhC
- BTEC Level 3 Diploma in the principles and practice for pharmacy technicians or equivalent
Desirable criteria
- BTEC Professional Diploma in Dispensing Checking or equivalent
- Experience working in mental health
- Understanding of Clozapine
Skills
Essential criteria
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desirable criteria
- supervising or training others

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
