Assistant Psychologist for Home Based Treatment Team

Job overview
Are you a skilled and enthusiastic person with a Psychology degree and experience working with people with mental health difficulties? Do you want to be part of a team who provide an alternative to inpatient admissions? If so, an exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Assistant Psychologist to join the Salford HBTT.
The team is a well-resourced, psychologically informed enthusiastic MDT, comprising of consultant psychiatrists, a clinical psychologist, junior doctors, nurses, social workers, OT’s and support workers. All deliver high quality evidence-based care to acutely unwell service users.
The post holder will assist with a wide range of duties – assessment, intervention and evaluation or audits – all under the supervision of our Clinical Psychologist. There is an in-house rolling training programme to ensure that our staff continue to deliver the most up to date, evidenced based interventions, which you can access as well as facilitate as part of your role. The post holder would be part of a growing Acute care Psychology offer within in Salford . We have excellent links with local Universities, therefore there may be opportunity to also become actively involved in research.
You will have access to high quality supervision from our Clinical Psychologist, and access to our network of supportive clinical psychologists / therapists working across a wide range of services.
Informal visits and walk rounds are encouraged.
Main duties of the job
To work as part of the psychological service provision within the Salford Home Based Treatment team. The primary focus is to support the work of the qualified Clinical Psychologist within the team, under their supervision and with the operational support of the HBTT manager.

- Upper Second Class Degree confurring entitlement to graduate membership of the BPS
