Job overview

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the Adult Community Services for a part time (36 hours), Band 3 Administrator.

We are a multi-disciplinary team covering the whole of Salford facilitating clients discharge back into their own home & delivering Urgent response services.   

You will work closely with the Multi-Disciplinary Team adding referrals from health care professionals & supporting the development of the discharge services to deliver care closer to home. 

Main duties of the job

  • You will work closely with the other members of the team to provide excellent administrative service.
  • You will liaise regularly with external and internal partners.
  • You will be a excellent team player and also possess excellent communication skills and must be able to work on your own initiative to organise and prioritise your own caseload and balance this with the demands of this diverse and varied role. 
  • The ideal candidate will have administration experience, excellent communication skills and be proficient with a wide variety of computer packages including Microsoft, EPR and Medisec.
  • Good knowledge of Patient Centre is required as managing referrals is a big part of the role.

Knowledge and Experience

Essential criteria
  • Knowledge of a range of patient information systems.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Previous experience of working within a customer care environment.
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of PAS/EPR
  • Knowledge of Malinko

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • IT literate

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) incl. Maths & English.
  • Business Administration, RSA 2/NVQ 3 or equivalent in administration, office management or can demonstrate relevant experience.
