Job overview
Band 7 Nurse Manager – Dermatology
Northern Care Alliance | Full‑Time (Mon–Fri, 8am–4pm)
The Dermatology Centre at the Northern Care Alliance is one of the largest specialist services in Europe, caring for around 13,000 new patients and 26,000 follow‑ups each year. We are committed to delivering the highest standards of dermatology care.
We are seeking a dynamic, motivated, and clinically confident Band 7 Nurse Manager to join our busy outpatient service. This is an exciting opportunity to lead specialist clinics, shape patient pathways, and contribute to innovative, high‑quality care.
You will work autonomously, providing expert assessment and management of a wide range of skin conditions while supporting and developing the nursing team. Ideal for an experienced Band 6 looking to progress or an established Band 7 seeking a fresh challenge in a forward‑thinking environment.
The post is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional cross‑cover required at our sites in Stockport and Radcliffe.
Join us and help lead the future of dermatology outpatient care.

Key Responsibilities
Run autonomous nurse‑led clinics (biologics, systemic therapy monitoring, patch testing, phototherapy review, skin cancer follow‑up). Mentor junior nurses and deliver specialist education to patients, carers, and colleagues. Work closely with consultants, AHPs, and the MDT to enhance patient pathways.
What We’re Looking For
Registered Adult Nurse with current NMC registration and significant Band 6+ experience. Strong assessment and decision‑making skills, with experience supporting patients on systemic therapies or biologics. Confident working autonomously and leading clinics, with excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills. Independent Prescribing (V300) is desirable or willingness to work towards it.
What We Offer
A supportive, skilled dermatology team, opportunities for specialist training and development, involvement in service redesign and innovation, and access to CPD, conferences, and dermatology networks.
If you're passionate about dermatology and ready for a rewarding specialist role, we’d love to hear from you. Apply today and help us deliver outstanding care.
