Salford Royal is a major University Teaching Hospital and one of the principal urology training centres in the North West. Our purpose-built integrated urology unit comprises 15 consultant urologists delivering a full spectrum of general and specialist urological care.
Subspecialist expertise includes:

✅ Functional and female urology
✅ Neurourology
✅ Reconstructive urology
✅ Sacral neuromodulation

Main duties of the job
The successful applicant must have full registration with the GMC and continue to hold a Licence to Practise.
The post would provide an excellent training opportunity for a doctor looking to increase their exposure in urology and develop their CV in order to facilitate their entry to specialty training, or for a more senior doctor wishing to consolidate their experience. We have an excellent track record in helping doctors to build their experience and portfolio and move on to specialty training or towards CESR.

- All applicants to have demonstrable skills in written and spoken English that are adequate to enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues which could be demonstrated by one of the following: • that applicants have undertaken undergraduate medical training in English; or • have the following scores in the academic international English Language Testing System (IELTS) – Overall 7, Speaking 7, Listening 6, Reading 6, Writing 6. • Occupational English Test (OET) certificate it must show: • you took the medicine version of the test • you got at least a grade ‘B’ in each testing area (speaking, listening, reading and writing)
- listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013)
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills in order to be able to write & present reports at board level
