Job overview
We are seeking a Band 5 HR Advisor to join our friendly and supportive HR team on a permanent contract, working 22.5 hours per week.

Main duties of the job
To provide a focused HR service, ensuring that professional, proactive, comprehensive and effective HR advice and support is provided to line
managers within a designated business groups throughout the Trust.
To ensure that the service provided is consistent within defined quality standards and all relevant policies and procedures in order to ensure the
HR strategy, objectives and key performance indicators are implemented effectively across the organisation.
The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and
volunteers to share this commitment and promote safeguarding by implementing the Trust’s policies and procedures, acting promptly on concerns, communicating effectively and sharing information appropriately

Person specification
Education & Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Educated to degree or equivalent level of experience
Desirable criteria
- Possession of graduate membership of the CIPD or Equivalent experience
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Good understanding of HR best practice and an up to date knowledge of employment legislation
- Understanding of the importance & requirements of Data Protection and Confidentiality
Desirable criteria
- Good knowledge of NHS terms and conditions of employment
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of dealing with HR issues across all aspects of employment relations practice.
- Supporting and delivering management training and presentations
- Previous experience of policy review, development and implementation
- Experience of working to deadlines in a busy environment
Desirable criteria
- NHS Experience
Skills & Abilities
Essential criteria
- Able to use HR databases and information systems
- Good analytical skills with the ability to provide excellent management information as required
- Ability to use own initiative to interpret policies, procedures and situations in order to identify pragmatic solutions/ recommendations on a case-by-case basis.
