Job overview
You will be responsible for working jointly with the Microbiologists and Antimicrobial Pharmacy Team while still maintaining a clinical pharmacy service to a specialist area.
The post holder will work as a Non-Medical Prescriber.
Main duties of the job
- To work jointly with the Microbiologists and Antimicrobial Pharmacy Team, providing expert advice on safe and effective antibiotic utilisation.
- To act as a role model for clinical pharmacy practice.
- To provide training for medical, nursing and pharmacy staff in antibiotic use
- To prescribe as appropriate for patients within the job holder’s level of competence.

- Master degree in Pharmacy
- Registered Pharmacist with General Pharmaceutical Council
- Mandatory CPD to maintain fitness to practice
- Postgraduate Diploma in Pharmacy Practice/ Clinical Pharmacy

- Management qualification
Knowledge

- Evidence of use of clinical IT systems
