Job overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a band 5 Nurse to join the Trafford Early Intervention In Psychosis service based at Crossgate House in Sale . We work with individuals between the age of 14-35 years with a First Episode Psychosis and those with an at risk mental state.
We are a very welcoming, dedicated and experienced team . We offer a range of psychological therapies/ psychosocial interventions and have a comprehensive training programme across the directorate. We work closely with service users and families, offering both behavioural therapy and family interventions. We value service user involvement and encourage participation in service development.
Main duties of the job
We require a highly motivated and committed individual with a genuine passion for providing evidence based recovery interventions to people experiencing a first episode Psychosis.
The Post Holder will aim to reduce the impact of psychosis and ensure that the individual remains actively involved in life with a focus on living an ordinary life and to achieve personal recovery.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Diploma or degree in mental health nursing
Experience
Essential criteria
- Recent experience working in either adult mental health, EIT or CAMHS.
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working with people with early onset psychosis and their Families.
- Working in a community setting.
- 4. Lived experience of Mental health issues or a caring role of someone with mental health issues
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Knowledge of impact of psychosis on young people
- Knowledge of and ability to undertake regular assessment and management of clinical risk
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of evidence and value based interventions for people with first episode psychosis

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
