This role is working Monday - Friday shifts between 0800-1800 including occasional bank holidays

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Clatterbridge Cancer Centre - Wirral site for a motivated and proactive individual to become part of a busy and friendly team. The role can often be varied and complex but with a high level of job satisfaction.

The role requires the candidate to be a good team player as the successful candidate will be joining a large administration and clerical group with good peer group support. The role will also offer opportunities to learn new skills within Network Services Division and variety in their day to day activities.

The post holder will be responsible for appointing Diagnostic Scan appointments across many services for extremely busy departments. This will include a full appointment booking system and ensuring  patients are communicated with in a timely manner. Excellent administration skills, with a good knowledge of Microsoft applications and experience of working with patient records and using multiple hospital databases and software is advantageous

  • Experience of booking multiple series of appointments as per protocols
  • To participate in administrative and clerical duties
  • To maintain confidentiality at all times
  • To maintain multiple email boxes
  • To have a knowledge of a range of procedures and appointments across multiple services
  • To communicate with patients around their appointments liaising with Clinicians regarding complex cases - via telephone, text service & email
  • Requires multitasking
  • Using multiple applications
  • Supporting other teams/areas within the Hub
  • Reception cover
  • The post holder will participate in the  appointing of Complex appointments across hubs and be expected to undertake additional clerical duties pertaining to specific areas. The post holder will also be expected to liaise with the clinical Teams within the departments.
  • Please note, this post may involve Bank Holiday working on a rotational/shift basis
