Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is a provider of specialist health care and has a presence in community outreach sites and, in collaboration with other providers, our clinicians help deliver care closer to patients’ homes by holding local clinics at locations from Cumbria to Shropshire, in Wales and the Isle of Man. The Trust also provides inpatient care for children with complex mental health needs at our Sunflower House building newly relocated, and opened on the hospital site.

Alder Hey Children’s are recruiting a Cardiac Physiologist who specialises in either echocardiography or cardiac rhythm management, to join our small but growing team.
We are currently seeking forward thinking, dynamic, and motivated individuals to work at Alder Hey children’s Hospital. This post involves some combination of invasive and non-invasive procedures, cardiac rhythm management and/or echocardiography, as well as analysing cardiac monitors, exercise testing, catheter lab and ECG.
This role is ideally for a Physiologist with either skills in cardiac device management, keen to be trained into EP procedures or with skills in echocardiography, keen to develop paediatric and congenital skillsets.

Main duties of the job
To bring either echocardiography or advanced clinical arrhythmia skills to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital. Contributions may still be required in other service areas as skills and needs dictate.
Applicants should be competent in all non-invasive cardiac procedures, some experience in interventional catheter procedures would be desirable.
You will be expected to demonstrate maturity and experience consistent with this grade to contribute fully to the improvement and advancement of the cardiac physiology service.
