The Medicine Division is looking for a Gastroenterology Matron with a passion for quality and safety, and a drive to innovate.  Help us to provide the highest standard of care for our Gastroenterology patients.
 
The role covers 2 inpatient gastroenterology wards as well as a broad team of experienced Clinical Nurse Specialists, Nurse Endoscopists and Advanced Clinical Practitioners.  As such, this role offers great opportunity for nursing leadership in a fast paced inpatient environment and to nurses working in variety of gastroenterology specialties.  You will have access to a coaching network, professional development and the opportunity to lead a focused area of quality across the wider Medicine Division.
 
You will be joining a dedicated team of Matrons within the Medicine Division and a team of supportive Gastroenterology Consultants and Operational colleagues.   Not only that, but you will also be joining the  Gastroenterology department at Aintree with a real track record for success.

You will be accountable for overseeing the performance of our inpatient Gastroenterology wards and departments against key indicators and measures of quality, governance, workforce, finance and clinical effectiveness.

You will be a Registered Nurse with demonstrable leadership experience and a drive to be a visible leader to your teams. 

For this role you will need the ability to lead teams effectively and display confidence in decision making. You must display a positive and professional manner, have a non-judgmental attitude, and be flexible and open to change.

You will also participate in the Matron of the day and Clinical Management On Call rotas and play an active role in patient flow.
