Job overview
Ward 10 is a 26 bedded acute gastroenterology unit based I the tower block on the second floor in the Aintree site.
Our experienced team of medical and nursing staff treat a diverse range of conditions including specialising in liver and the treatment/diagnosis of conditions affecting the gastrointestinal tract and digestive system.
Main duties of the job
To support the ward manager and the wider team.
Developing leadership skills
Working closely with the MDT
Sickness and absence management
Rostering
Supporting with training compliance and education.
Working relationships with HR department
Maintaining quality and safety

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse, current NMC registration
- Teaching and assessing qualification or equivalent
- Post registration qualification in speciality
Desirable criteria
- 1st level degree

- Evidence of developing high standards of patient care
- Lead role in education of staff and patients
