Job overview
An exciting opportunity has become available for the position of Medical Staffing Officer. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is hard working with excellent organisational skills, communication skills and keen team player to join our team here at The Royal Liverpool Hospital.
The post holder will be responsible for Compilation , production and distribution of all medical rota's. Deal with all queries regarding rota's on call. Monitor rota's on a daily basis to ensure there are appropriate levels of cover.

Main duties of the job
Ensuring rota's are up to date with adequate and accurate medical staffing cover.
Co-ordinate and manage medical staff annual / study leave, processing all annual / study leave forms.
Ensuring relevant staff and departments are kept up to date with leave booked by regular production and circulation of all leave dates.
Manage the use of locum doctor's effectively and economically and authorise all locum payments.
Completion of agency locum assessment forms.
Completion of monthly SVL's for medical staff including payments for additional duty hours.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Liaise with medical staffing to ensure adequate locum cover is available for any absences.
Provide accountant with up to date information on a monthly basis regarding the use of locum cover, additional duties worked etc, to ensure that no inappropriate charges are made against the Directorate.
Participate and support with inductions.

- Demonstrable experience in a hospital/healthcare setting

- Understanding of information technology systems and literate in its application.
- Knowledge of Junior Doctor working arrangements Knowledge of Working time Directive Preparation of rotas for junior doctors (PRHO - SpR level)
