Advanced Clinical Pharmacist Gastroenterology

Band 8a

Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Gastroenterology Pharmacy Team based at the Royal Liverpool Hospital. The post‑holder will play a key role in the joint management of patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including active involvement in prescribing medicines for this patient group. The role will also support the supervision and development of pharmacists and technicians within gastroenterology, ensuring the provision of a high‑quality, safe and effective clinical pharmacy service.

This post is ideally suited to an experienced  pharmacist with the ability to provide clinical leadership and take responsibility for the delivery of a proactive, patient‑centred specialist pharmacy service across gastroenterology. The role also offers opportunities to work collaboratively with teams across the organisation as part of the Liverpool Adult Acute and Specialist Providers (LASP) programme, contributing to service development and cross‑site working.
