Job overview
An exciting opportuinity has arisen for a AHCS registered respiratory physiologist to join our friendly team of respiratory physiologists at the respiratory lab at Liverpool University Hospitals (Aintree Site).
This post may also be suitable for aspiring respiratiry physiologists looking at moving upwards from an associate practitioner role, if so the salary will be made at Annex 21 of band 6.
Main duties of the job
The ideal candidate will have experience in performing full studies, challenge testing, field exercise testing and respiratory muscle function studies. The successful applicant will also assist the lab manager and other staff in the routine running and administration of the respiratory function laboratory.
Full training can also be given in many other areas of respiratory physiology and you would be expected to develop yourself for the good of the team and your future career.
The post holder would also be expected to provide cover and support to pre-op exercise testing.
Candidates should have or be working towards AHCS registration.

Spirometry.
Reversibility Testing
Lung volumes both body box and N2.
Transfer Factor
Field Exercise Testing
CPET Assistance
Respiratory Muscle Pressures.
Challenge Testing, both Direct and Indirect.
Supervision of other physiology staff.
