The successful candidate will join our busy Trauma and Orthopaedic team and be responsible for greeting patients at Trauma and Orthopaedic reception, booking appointments via IPM, answering telephone queries and general office tasks. You will work closely with our existing clerical staff but also interact with the patients on the telephone. Good communication skills are essential.

Applicants should demonstrate good IT/keyboard, communication and organisational skills. You will be required to work well under pressure. We treat high volumes of people daily. Accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
Duties will include dealing with referrals; arranging appointments; data entry; telephone enquiries and general office tasks. You need to be able to provide an optimum level of customer service to patients and staff, both in person and over the telephone.
To take responsibility for good housekeeping in the Therapies Office / Reception / Waiting area, ensuring they are kept clean and tidy.
The post holder must be self-motivated and able to work well under pressure.
Experience in the NHS would be preferable, however full training will be given.
