We are one of the busiest university teaching hospital trusts in North West England. We manage three hospitals based on two sites: the Royal Liverpool University Hospital, Liverpool University Dental Hospital and Broadgreen Hospital.  Our hospitals have often been at the forefront of medical breakthroughs during our long history at the heart of the city.

PART-TIME (18.5 HOURS PER WEEK) Band 3 Medical Secretary 

We are seeking an experienced medical secretary who is able to provide a Team of Consultant Nephrologists with fully comprehensive secretarial support to enable the directorate to run efficiently. You will have excellent organisational skills and be able to multi-task with ease. This is a busy and demanding role, which will require experience, diplomacy and resilience.

The successful candidate will preferably have all the following skills/qualities:- typing, shorthand, full computer package, general office skills and excellent organisation and communication skills.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
