Job overview
The post holder will be a highly motivated and registered practitioner who will identify and facilitate ward based learning and ongoing support for professional clinical development.
36 hours over a 3 day period, with a 12 hour make up shift every 8 weeks to meet the 37.5 hour contract.
Main duties of the job
A key focus of the role is to:
§ Support the co-ordination of the learning experience of clinical colleagues
in order to optimise retention and development of clinical staff
§ Work collaboratively with the Practice Education Facilitator and other
colleagues who support learning and development in the organisation to
ensure appropriate orientation and induction of new staff, including
induction training days and completion of mandatory, essential and role
essential training and competencies
§ Support the delivery of preceptorship programmes for newly qualified
practitioners and liaise with professionals involved in clinical
preceptorship programmes in the organisation to optimise resources and
learning opportunities for multi-disciplinary learning.
§ Identify ongoing professional development, peer review assessments,
competencies,

- Experience within a range of clinical settings and evidence of experience at a senior level
- Experience as a supervisor/assessor and/or have supported learning and assessment in practice

Qualifications

- Registered Nurse
- Registered Degre
- Mentorship and/or coaching qualification or willing to undertake

- Experience of co-ordinating and managing staff and patients
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
