An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic pharmacist to work within our breast team and lead the implementation of an innovative model of care to support review and prescribing of CDK4 inhibitors. There will be opportunities to develop and lead pharmacist prescribing clinics within the breast MDT, specifically clinics for the review of CDK4 inhibitors.
Clatterbridge is an exciting place to continue your clinical pharmacy journey in a purpose built city centre hospital in Liverpool with state of the art facilities, working within a cutting edge clinical environment. This role represents an opportunity to develop and further progress in the rewarding specialty that is cancer care. The successful candidates will also receive mentoring and support to grow as a leader.
Working pattern will be 37.5 hours per week which includes weekends. Contribution to the Bank holiday and on-call rota will be part of the post. For a detailed list of our employee benefits, please see the attached documents to this vacancy.
Main duties of the job
In this role you will work alongside medical and nursing colleagues, as part of the breast MDT to lead the provision of patient facing pharmaceutical care in outpatient clinics and chemotherapy hubs to breast patients. You will be an integral part of the breast oncology team as well as the wider pharmacy team and will be involved in clinical trials and research within the breast team.
You will also have the opportunity to work within the Aseptic Production Unit, quality assessing and releasing chemotherapy.
