Job overview
We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and self-motivated Pharmacy Technician to join the Mersey Care Medicines Management Team. The Executive team at Mersey Care recognise the value of our services and have recently invested a significant amount of additional funding to enable the transformation and expansion of our service.
Dispensary Higher Level Pharmacy Technician roles based within our purpose-built pharmacy department at Maghull Health Park and supporting our in-house Pharmacy at Hollins Park Hospital in Warrington.

As a department we are embracing the Trusts ambition to digitally transform our services and have introduced new initiatives which include ward-based automation, EPMA and within our new department three automated robotic dispensing systems including a blister packing robot.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services and BTEC level 3 in Pharmaceutical Science, or equivalent qualification with appropriate underpinning knowledge
- Registration with General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician
- Accredited Technical Accuracy Checking Qualification
Desirable criteria
- NVQ A1 workplace assessor (or willingness to work towards)
- Relevant medicines management qualification or accreditation, or willingness to work towards; or equivalent experience
KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE
Essential criteria

- Demonstrable experience of dispensing & accuracy checking
- Experience of using electronic medicines management systems, including oversight of stock levels
