Job overview

We are looking to recruit  a Receptionist within the Access team at Southport  District General Hospital working  Monday to Friday.  

1x Post will be based at Southport but start at Ormskirk hours will be 7.30am-3.30pm


The post holder will be responsible for the registration of patients, booking patient appointments, general reception duties, and any other administration duties.

Main duties of the job

You should have excellent keyboard skills.

Knowledge of the Hospital Patient Administrative System (Careflow) and have some experience working within an office setting.

Good communication and telephone skills and the ability to work independently are also essential.

Essential criteria
  • NVQ level 2-3 in Administration/Customer Care or equivalent level of Knowledge
  • Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent experience
  • European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) or equivalent
