Are you an experienced Radiographer looking for a new challenge? If so MWL are recruiting for the Whiston, St Helens and community sites.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified radiographer to join our team as part of a 24/7 shift rotation at Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. The post will provide plain film and CT cover cross multiple sites on a 24/7 shift pattern. Working hours will include a combination of days, evenings, nights and weekends, including bank holidays . There will also be an on call commitment
We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and dedicated individual with a flexible approach to working who can demonstrate good organisational and communication skills along with a commitment to a quality patient focused service
37.5 hours per week
The JD & PS are currently under AfC review and are subject to change.
Main duties of the job
To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to high standards of patient care, providing a comprehensive and efficient general and CT-service, while following all safety policies, procedures and regulations required.
Act as Practitioner and Operator under IR(ME)R 2017. Utilising highly complex imaging equipment and evaluating images.
To supervise the clinical work of , Radiographers, Radiography Assistant Practitioners, Radiology department assistants and student Radiographers.

We provide the Mersey Regional Burns & Plastic Surgery Unit at Whiston Hospital and the Spinal Injuries Unit at Southport Hospital to more than 4 million people across the whole of Merseyside, West Lancashire, Cheshire, Isle of Man and North Wales.

- Degree in Radiography (Diagnostic) or DCR(R)
- Registered with HCPC
Knowledge & Experience
Essential criteria
- Knowledge & Relevant level of experience in CT and General radiographic proceduresExperience
- Have a sound understanding of Quality Issues and Audit
- Experience of working unsocial hours.
Desirable criteria
- Have highly developed specialist theoretical knowledge of CT scanning
