We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our outstanding and supportive infant feeding team, to work across all areas of Maternity, helping to further the outstanding 5 star patient care provided by all. In house training and support provided.
We are expanding unit an increase of expectant mothers choosing to have their care from our Maternity Services. The Maternity Unit is furnished with state of the art, modern facilities for mothers and their babies.

Main duties of the job
Duties & Responsibilities
- To work within the Infant Feeding Team to increase the breastfeeding initiation rates at Mersey West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals, by promoting breast feeding at local community infant feeding events, running Breast Feeding Antenatal Workshops and discussing the benefits of breast feeding at clinics with Medical/Midwifery Students, Obstetricians, Paediatricians, Midwives/Nurses, Maternity Support Workers and Health Care Assistants.
- Provide one-to-one client care, implementing and evaluating the care planned in relation to infant feeding in conjunction with the midwife.

We provide the Mersey Regional Burns & Plastic Surgery Unit at Whiston Hospital and the Spinal Injuries Unit at Southport Hospital to more than 4 million people across the whole of Merseyside, West Lancashire, Cheshire, Isle of Man and North Wales.

- GCSE or equivalent including Maths and English
- NVQ level 3 (Health and Social Care)
