Job overview

Are you an Endoscopy Admissions Administrator with experience within Endoscopy looking for flexible working across a variety of NHS Trusts in the Cheshire and Merseyside region?  

We are looking for Admissions Administrators or equivalent with Endoscopy experience to join the new Cheshire and Merseyside NHS Collaborative Bank.

Main duties of the job

You will need to be adaptable in your approach to work, enthusiastic and a self-motivated individual with excellent administration skills who is able to integrate quickly and work as part of the team. You will need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Essential criteria
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
  • NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent experience
  • Have a current substantive role within an Endoscopy setting
  • 2/3 years previous administration experience at NVQ Level 3
  • Team working, administration and clerical work experience
  • Experience of dealing with the public
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office applications and advanced keyboard skills
  • Provide evidence of excellent communication: -written, verbal and telephone manner.
  • Able to communicate with a variety of people at all levels and different backgrounds
  • Able to deal with sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy
  • Organised, systematic and ability to prioritise work
  • A positive, ‘can do’ attitude
  • Able to deal with multiple issues at one time
  • Good attention to detail
  • Able to remain calm under pressure and work to demanding deadlines
  • Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision
  • Flexible and willing to learn
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships
Desirable criteria
  • ECDL
  • Knowledge of waiting list administration
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Experience of Meditech Customer Care Course
