Job overview

Are you ready to take the next step in your HR career within a dynamic, supportive, and professional team? We’re offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior HR Advisor to join our Workforce & Organisation Development team, contributing to a broad portfolio of strategic and operational HR activities.

This role will join a team that is flexible in their approach to work, working across Trust sites with the opportunity to work from home weekly as part of the Trust's Hybrid Working Model.  We’re seeking a qualified HR professional—ideally a Graduate or Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) or someone with equivalent demonstrable experience—who is passionate about delivering high-quality, specialist HR advice.

Main duties of the job

In this role, you will:

  • Provide expert guidance to managers and employees across the Trust on a wide range of HR matters, including Agenda for Change and Medical & Dental terms and conditions.
  • Act as the specialist lead for employee relations, offering strategic advice and support to the wider HR team, line managers, and staff on complex HR issues.
  • Influence and drive improvements in people management practices, contributing to the development of a high-performing, inclusive workplace culture

The postholder will play a key role in supporting the Workforce & OD Business Partners in delivering a high-impact, strategic Workforce and Organisation Development function across the Trust. They will provide expert, high-quality advice on a broad range of HR matters.

As the specialist lead for employment relations, the postholder will offer authoritative guidance and support to the wider HR team, line managers, and staff on complex HR issues. This includes disciplinary, grievance, performance, attendance, and concerns raised under MHPS and other relevant frameworks. They will drive improvements in service delivery by coaching managers to enhance their leadership and people management capabilities, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

The role also involves leading the development, implementation, and review of Trust-wide HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with national guidance and employment legislation.
