Job overview

Wirral University Teaching Hospital is seeking to recruit an Recovery Practitioner  

The post holders will need to be able to work as part of the multidisciplinary team helping to provide our patients with the highest level of care as well as being able to work as an individual practitioner.

Applicants must be committed to delivering high quality patient focused care and have excellent interpersonal skills.

Recovery has 12 bays and an Enhanced Recovery unit with 6 bays

The role will include working the following shifts:

Days, weekends and night shift

 

Main duties of the job

Participate under the supervision of the specialist core team members in the planning, delivery and evaluation of care for all patients during the perioperative period (utilising and adapting transferable skills during training

Maintain accurate records of the theatre episodes in line with trust departmental policies  

Promote the safety, wellbeing of interests of patients, staff and visitors to the clinical area

Promote clinical governance by actively participating in the risk management process within the trust
