Owing to promotions and developments, we have opportunities for staff nurses to work across the Children’s Ward and the Paediatric Assessment Unit at Arrowe Park Hospital. We are looking for individuals who possess the skills and enthusiasm to help develop the paediatric services in both units.
Main duties of the job
A qualitative and safe experience is at the heart of all our patient experiences. If you have the experience and desire to improve services for our children and young people then this will be the challenge for you.
These positions will offer the successful candidates an ability to build upon existing skills and knowledge, whilst working within a friendly developing team with a vision for constantly changing and improving children’s services within a dynamic district general hospital.

If successful in this role, there is a requirement for you to have a Enhanced DBS. This will be paid for by the Trust and then deducted from your salary over a period of 3 months.

Qualifications, Specific Experience & Training
Essential criteria
- 1 st Level NMC Registration
- Evidence of Professional Development
- Suitable for newly qualified or experienced staff nurse
- Experience of maintaining accurate records
- Relevant clinical knowledge and experience
Desirable criteria
- Act as a practice supervisor
- Willing to undertake Practice Assessor Training
- Relevant Degree or willing to register to work towards degree
- Relevant or willingness to undertake relevant module/course
- NHS Experience
- Awareness of Health Policies and the changing NHS environment
Knowledge and Skills
Essential criteria
- Awareness of evidence based practice
- Good organisational/time management skills
- Ability to deal with an acute workload
- Good communication skills written and verbal
- Ability to recognise the importance of team work
