Job overview
Main duties of the job
The role will be to work with the Supervisory Body and the Head of Safeguarding to embed systems and processes across the University Health Board to ensure the UHB meets its legislative requirements in relation to Mental Capacity Act (MCA) & Liberty Protection Safeguards (currently Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS).
To work closely with other Supervisory Bodies, Managing Authorities and other health and social care professionals on behalf of the UHB in order to manage the LPS/DoLS assessment and authorisation process.

Essential criteria
- Possess specialist knowledge of MCA 2005 and LPS/DoLS and Mental Health Act 2007 in the context of clinical service delivery
Desirable criteria
- Degree level or equivalent in a health/social care discipline at Masters Level (or working towards)
Experience

- Significant experience in relevant areas of practice
