Our Junior Clinical Fellow posts are an ideal opportunity to work in a supportive clinical environment with dedicated non-clinical time for portfolio development. The posts will have dedicated non-clinical time (20% of rota time) to develop a portfolio of your choice, ideas include: • Educational Fellow– 6 months (with an option to progress SIM training) • Quality Improvement Fellow - 1 year • Ultrasound Fellow- 1 year (with a commitment to sign off level 1 competence by the end). Feedback from trainees has been extremely positive including: ‘I have felt fully supported and able to discuss any issues; I was fully aware what was expected of me and felt well included in the ED Team’. ‘Sim teaching here has been so useful and always highly relevant as well as engaging and interactive’. English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply. |
Main duties of the job
The successful candidates will be part of a team of 13 junior doctors in a busy district general hospital Emergency Department (ED). You will work
alongside nine middle grade doctors & eight consultants in a multi-disciplinary team including ENPs and ACPs providing front line care to an
undifferentiated case mix. The successful applicant will participate in a full shift rota providing 24-hour shop floor cover. The department provides
a consultant led service with ample opportunity for supervision. There is direct consultant shop floor cover approximately 12 hours a day, 7 days a
week.
The post is available to start from August for up to 6 or 12 months.

The Post Holder will be required to perform the full range of duties outlined in the job description. The Emergency Department provides a 24/7 service; therefore, the receptionist will be expected to cover a mixture of shifts including days evenings, nights and weekends

- Previous experience of working in the NHS/experience of NHS UK working practices and systems.

- Previous EM experience
