Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health. For more information, see ‘Welsh Language Guidance’ in the documents right at the bottom.

Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 5 Anaesthetic Practitioner at Princess of Wales Hospital theatre department.

We seek enthusiastic individuals to work in Main Theatres covering a variety of specialities. The role encompasses all shift types to meet departmental needs, and requires individuals who are hard working, motivated and keen to further their development within a supportive culture.

You will be expected to use clinical and evidenced based knowledge and skills to actively contribute to service development across the perioperative pathway, identifying opportunities and supporting individuals in the delivery of high quality patient care.

The Operating Theatres are a really exciting and interesting place to work. Emergency cover is 24/7 365 days a year with on-call provision.  This is a big opportunity in a vibrant Health Board, who is committed to staff education and development with a Perioperative Educator available to teach on site and support is provided through mentors and a highly experienced team.
