Please be advised that there is a temporary top up for Bands 1,2 and 3 to reflect the incorporation of the top up to the living wage of £12 per hour - £23,465 per annum. This temporary top up will be in place until the annual pay uplift for 2024/25 is confirmed
Job overview
You will possess the ability to work on your own initiative whilst working as part of the team, and the ability to develop relationships across professional and Organisational boundaries. The idyllic candidate would have a clear vision for best practice and a reparation for professional innovation.
You will be a vital part of the ward team, managing and leading the team whilst supporting the Ward Manager. You will be integral to the governance agenda as well as demonstrating excellent and effective leadership skills. In return, you will be supported by a dedicated and passionate team, and you will be supported in your own professional development. You will have access to further study and opportunities to expand your role in line with service development.
To be successful you will need to have significant experience as a band 5 and knowledge and experience of nursing patients within the Acute Paediatric setting. A commitment to delivering high standards of patient focused care is an essential requirement of the post.
Main duties of the job
We are currently in the process of recruiting Band 6 posts within the Paediatric department at Princess of Wales Hospital.
Whether you are an experienced band 6 nurse or new to the role, you will be fully supported by our Paediatric Practice Development Nurse.
