An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join the team at Ysbyty’r Seren Field Hospital in Bridgend on a 6 month fixed term contract. Hours of work are Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week.
This role is to support the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse in the general administrative running of the wards.
The post holder will be proficient in the use of computer systems to carry out the role. Duties include ordering of stock and equipment, updating the Myrddin system, carrying out simple audits and checks, maintaining sickness and training databases/records and other general administrative duties.
The successful candidate will possess good communication and organisational skills and will have the ability to prioritise their workload and meet deadlines. You will be required to work using your own initiative, managing your own workload as well as being part of the administrative team.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
