Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and committed Theatre Practitioners to undertake the role of Clinical Lead for Ophthalmology with added surgical specialities within the Scrub speciality at Main Theatres, Royal Glamorgan Hospital.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is expected to be an excellent communicator with good interpersonal skills and extensive knowledge of Ophthalmology services within the Theatre setting in addition to other surgical specialities.
You will work in collaboration with a dynamic managerial team, experienced clinical practitioners and the wider Multi-Disciplinary Team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a talented individual with inspirational leadership skills and an appetite for developing staff, service redesign and delivery of safe and excellent care. The post holder will work in collaboration with the senior management team, providing senior advice, support and strategic leadership, along with professional challenges.
You will have had demonstrable success in a management and a clinical role and established your credibility with multiple stakeholders. Most of all, you will be able to motivate and engage others to ensure that the services we provide supports the UHB values, as well as having a pioneering approach that is not afraid to challenge convention and traditional ways of working.

- Significant experience working at Band 6 or above in a Theatre Setting
- Experience of Managing and Leading a team
- Significant Opthalmic Scrub Experience

- Currently working at Band 7 Level within Theatre Setting
Qualifications

- Mentorship/Practice Assessor Training
- Current UK NMC/HCPC Registration
Desirable criteria
- Master's Degree, post graduate course in relevant subject or equivalent experience
Aptitude and Abilities
Essential criteria
- Good standard of written application
- Evidence of CPD specific to role

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
