Job overview

As Commissioning Support Officer, you will work within the Welsh Kidney Network (WKN). You will assist in the smooth and effective running of the network team.  Working within a diverse and changing portfolio of work aimed at the continual development of kidney care across Wales, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred services.  The role will:

·       Provide comprehensive support to the Commissioning Team.

·       To collect and collate data and information to support decision-making and governance.

·       To act as first point of contact for the function for both internal and external organisations

·       To have specific responsibility for co-ordination of the delegated function, including updates for reports, service reviews, planning policies, and the Integrated Medium-Term Plan.

·       To co-ordinate the production of commissioning, contract and performance information reports

You will work closely with the core Welsh Kidney Network team and lead clinicians, as well as with our colleagues and stakeholders across and within provider Health Boards, Welsh Government and the wider Joint Commissioning Committee. 

We are looking for an individual who reflects our values of respect, trust, collaboration and excellence.  Having previous experience of administration will be an advantage.

The NWJCC is a joint committee of the seven health boards in Wales, with a Chair and Lay Members. We support collaborative commissioning across Wales, with around 120 staff based in Mold and Nantgarw/Treforest.

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures, including specialised IT systems and project management, training knowledge, acquired through formal training or experience to diploma level equivalent.
  • Knowledge of performance management and data analysis techniques.
  • Knowledge of project management techniques.

Experience

  • Experience of working within an administrative or commissioning environment.
