We have close links with local training programmes and provide regular training and placement opportunities to Trainees.

Main duties of the job

CTM UHB Older Person’s Mental Health services are currently divided into five areas: Bridgend, Rhondda, Cynon, Taff and Merthyr – each area consists of an Older Person’s Community Mental Health Team (OPCMHT) and Memory Assessment Service (MAS) and feeds into the Older Person’s Mental Health inpatient wards within the health board. The successful candidate for this post will be based within OPCMHT and MAS, working across localities, depending on service need.

The post holder will sit within well-established multi-disciplinary teams, providing specialist psychological knowledge and expertise to the team. This role provides an opportunity for a Band 7 Therapist to work within OPCMHT, providing a high quality psychological therapy service to the teams and locality population.
