We have exciting opportunities for motivated, enthusiastic and committed Physiotherapists to join the team at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. These rotational posts offer experience across a wide range of clinical areas, including Trauma and Orthopaedics, Care of the Elderly, ITU/Respiratory, Acute Medicine, Neurological Rehabilitation, Acute Stroke, Inpatient Rehabilitation, Paediatrics, Outpatients and Community Reablement. The successful post holder will be responsible for assessing, planning and delivering physiotherapy treatment to a diverse caseload of acute patients. We have a variety of permanent, temporary and bank contracts available, offering flexibility and excellent opportunities for professional development.

We have 2 posts available - 1 post is permanent, the second post is a fixed term/secondment for 12 months to cover a career break. Anyone wishing to apply for the post as a secondment must seek approval from their Line Manager before applying.

Main duties of the job

Each rotation will offer the post holder an opportunity to participate in the training and development of staff.

Excellent problem solving and communication skills are essential. With a dynamic ‘can do’ approach, you will have the opportunity to participate in service improvement and work in a fast paced environment.

Teaching, supervision, support and training will be part of your role.

This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. Whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isn’t ‘fluency’, just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means being able to communicate in Welsh during routine clinical situations, such as welcoming patients, discussing straightforward aspects of their care and answering routine questions. If you’re comfortable holding everyday conversations in Welsh, we encourage you to apply. Your Welsh language skills will help us provide person-centred care and enable patients to receive services in their language of choice.
