Job overview
This post offers an opportunity to an individual to work within an administrative environment within the Medical Records Department at Ysbyty Cwm Rhondda Hospital. Cover in the Royal Glamorgan Hospital will be required if necessary. The post will involve providing support for Outpatient Clinics, managing Outpatient Waiting Lists and booking appointments on the Welsh PAS system. The successful candidate will be communicating with patients over the telephone. Knowledge of the Welsh PAS system, RTT rules are desirable. On the job training will be undertaken and the successful candidate must be numerate, literate and able to work under pressure.
The hours of this post are as follows - Monday - Friday - 08:30 - 16:30
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be joining a well established First Appointments Team responsible for the management of Outpatient Waiting lists.
Booking appointments in priority and date order.
initiating the partial booking process
Communicating with patients over the telephone.
The successful candidate must have excellent keyboard skills.
The successful candidate must have a flexible approach to work as providing support at any other hospital within the Health Board may be required.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
