Job overview
Senior Static Physiotherapist in General Medicine and Rehabilitation based at Nevill Hall Hospital in Abergavenny.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 physiotherapist to join our medical physiotherapy team. The post holder will be based at Nevill Hall Hospital within the inpatient physiotherapy team. The successful applicant will be a clinician who has breadth of experience in the inpatient setting and specific experience within medicine.
Although based in Nevill Hall Hospital, there may be an expectation to cross cover between various sites where service needs demands.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a forward-thinking clinician with the skills to combine specialist clinical practice with innovation. You will be committed to following best practice and speciality guidelines with the promotion of high-quality physiotherapy services. The successful post holder needs to be flexible, motivated, and committed to put the patient’s strengths, voice, choice and control at the centre of any interventions. You will have demonstrable leadership qualities, excellent communication and time management skills with proven abilities to build networks across sites and disciplines.
You will work alongside a your team lead and the Clinical Lead physiotherapist to develop your skills, knowledge and experience across the four pillars of practice.
The successful applicant will be actively involved in the education, supervision and mentoring of more junior staff and physiotherapy undergraduate students.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

- Broad range of post graduate clinical experience
- Able to demonstrate approp level of clinical reasoning & knowledge across a range of clinical specialities
- Participating & delivering IST programme
- Transferrable Medical Physiotherapy experience
- Evidence of mentorship of staff
- Previous Band 6 Experience
Desirable criteria
- Worked in UK as HCPC registered PT
- Evidence of working unsupervised
- Participated in on call & 7 day working
- Experience of participating in or contributing to service development projects
Qualifications
