An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Communications & Engagement Co-ordinator within Aneurin Bevan University Health Board's (ABUHB) Digital, Data & Technology Directorate.

As a member of the dynamic and innovative Digital, Data & Technology Directorate, you will work within the Digital PMO team. This role will allow you to build on your current skills and experience and provide you with opportunities for personal and professional development.   
 
You will work with a wide range of stakeholders from varying professions across the Health Board, other NHS and 3rd party organisations/suppliers. If you are looking for a new challenge in a prosperous department then this role is for you. 

Main duties of the job

  • Responsible for providing high-quality communications, as a member of the Digital PMO team, to a range of staff and stakeholders, with 
    a main focus on undertaking New Digital Service Request (NDSR) engagement activities with the Divisions
  • Work in collaboration with the Digital PMO Portfolio Analyst to ensure all Divisions are kept up to date with the progress and 
    prioritisation of all relevant digital service requests, through timely and effective communications
  • Support the Head of PMO & Digital Engagement to develop and organise a comprehensive schedule of Divisional Engagement 
    meetings, each to include Divisional representatives and key stakeholders from the Digital, Data & Technology Directorate with the objective to discuss and agree divisional digital priorities
  • Support the monitoring and evaluation of communication activities and help make necessary adjustments to improve engagement and 
    outcomes between the Digital, Data & Technology Directorate and all Divisions within the Health Board
  • Utilise digital tools and platforms to enhance communication efforts and ensure information is effectively disseminated to target 
    audiences

Qualifications and Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Educated to Diploma level or have demonstrable equivalent level of knowledge and experience relevant to the role
  • 5 GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths and English (A to C grades)
Desirable criteria
  • Prince2 Foundation or equivalent work experience and knowledge

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Communicating with all levels of professional staff
  • Using Microsoft Office Suite / Microsoft 365 Apps, such as SharePoint, Power BI
  • Producing management information reports
Desirable criteria
  • Working within PMO or project implementation environments
  • Previous NHS experience

Skills and Attributes

Essential criteria
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate effectively using excellent communication skills, including strong report writing
  • Ability to organise multi-disciplinary meeting and events including minute taking
  • Ability to work well in a team environment but also able to work on own initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

  • Articulate and professional in dealing with Health Board Managers and external organisations
