Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Endoscopy Team at Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr.
We are looking for enthusiastic and self-motivated Healthcare Support Worker to join us. It is not necessary to have any previous experience as full training will be provided. This presents a great opportunity for HealthCare support workers who are interested in specialising in Endoscopy. We are currently working towards JAG accreditation, which is the gold standard awarded to organisations providing the highest quality gastrointestinal endoscopy services – so if you join with us you can be confident you will be part of something excellent.
Successful applicants will be expected to support the team with ward care for pre- and post-procedure care. You will be working within the theatre environment & Recovery. You will also be responsible for the maintenance and monitoring of flexible endoscopes.
Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Endoscopy Team at Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr. We have a well-established, friendly and welcoming team that will provide and encourage you with excellent development opportunities and clinical support.
We are a very busy unit providing both elective and emergency patient care. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and organised individual to join our team, who also enjoys working to a high standard.
We are able to provide structured training, mentorship and support, offering excellent development opportunities to gain experience and clinical knowledge within the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, to include Accountability and the Code of Conduct for HCSW's in Wales. Education is strongly supported and you will be encouraged to attend relevant courses and training to be able to support the Endoscopy patient care pathway to include the decontamination of endoscopes.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
