An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Aneurin Bevan University Health Board within the Trauma & Orthopaedics department at Royal Gwent Hospital.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as part of a team providing healthcare services to patients within an inpatient ward, focusing on the direct needs of service users undergoing treatment. They will work within their clinical competencies and base knowledge, following defined protocols and the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers in Wales. All duties will be delegated and supervised by a registered nurse, in line with the NLIAH (2010) All Wales Guidelines for Delegation.
They will follow care plans appropriate to their role, record patient observations, and document care in patient notes, ensuring entries are countersigned by a registered nurse. The post holder will help promote a culture of physical health and wellbeing that supports recovery.
They will participate in required training and development to meet the KSF outline for the post, including all statutory and mandatory training.
This post is currently advertised at Band 2. The role is under national review and may progress to Band 3 with an updated job description. If appointed, your manager will keep you informed and support you through any changes, including training needs.
