We are seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist to join our Community Pathway Services team with a special focus on Community Neurological Rehabilitation Service (CNRS). This is an exciting opportunity to take on a senior clinical and strategic leadership role in a progressive pathway whose services are dedicated to excellence in multidisciplinary rehabilitation.
You will provide expert neuropsychological assessment, formulation and intervention for adults with acquired and long-term neurological conditions. Working closely with an experienced multi-disciplinary team, you will help shape truly person focussed rehabilitation pathways.
What We’re Looking For
· A HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist with post-doctoral training and expertise in neuropsychology.
· Entry on the BPS Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists (or eligibility/working towards).
· A passion for delivering evidence-based, person-centred neurorehabilitation.
· Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, support and develop others.
· A commitment to equitable, accessible services and continuous improvement.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for the systematic provision of Psychology Services within ABUHB Community Pathways, and specifically Community Neuro
Rehabilitation Service
To provide professional and clinical leadership and professional line management to all Psychology staff working into Community Pathways, and specifically Community Neuro Rehabilitation Services in Aneurin Bevan University Health Board.
To be responsible for providing neuropsychological services to people in Community Pathways, and specifically Community Neuro Rehabilitation Services and to contribute to supporting psychological services for those with Long Term Conditions served by Therapies as directed by the CD for Therapies. This includes, face to face work with individuals, groups, families, significant others, and consultation work advising staff of other disciplines on the psychological aspects of casework and service user management plans. It involves conducting psychological assessments and the delivery of appropriate therapeutic interventions for the full range of referred difficulties accepted by the service.

Essential criteria
- Advanced level clinical knowledge
- Plan and/or organise complex activities or programmes
- Doctoral level of research design and methodology
- Familiar with current strategic thinking regarding neuropsychology community neuro rehabilitaiotn services
Desirable criteria
- Able to think strategically and creatively
- Able to turn ideas into reality.
- Can provide leadership and direction for Clinical Psychology
- undertaken peer review for academic professional journals and/or books
Experience
Essential criteria
- Post qualification experience within physical health psychology
- CPD portfolio
- Advanced level of expertise in at least one area of clinical practice
Desirable criteria
- Research experience
- Management/Leadership experience
- Supervision of clinical psychologists (specifically neuro)
- Teaching clinical psychologists
Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Psychology Degree
- HCPC registration
- Doctorate qualification in QiCN
- On register of Clinical Neuropsychologists
Desirable criteria
- Leadership or management training
- Additional post-graduate degree
- Advance training in formal psychology therapy

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
