Job overview
Caerphilly Community Resource Team (CRT) have a rare and exciting opportunity for a part-time B6 Physiotherapist to join our team.
The team is a multi-disciplinary one, made of several disciplines, including Hospital Discharge Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Home Carers etc. We are located with Rapid Medics and Nurses.
The Physiotherapist role is varied and although generally community physio and falls, it can also support with our Reablement service.
The Physiotherapists are a very supportive team with the Band 6s being supported by our very experienced Band 7s.

To provide physio assessments and treatment in the community, enabling people to regain their independence and help to prevent hospital admissions

Education/Qualifications/Training
Essential criteria
- ▪ Diploma/degree in Physiotherapy
- ▪ State Registered Physiotherapist (HPC)
- ▪ Appropriate range of postgraduate clinical education
Desirable criteria
- ▪ MCSP
Experience
Essential criteria
- ▪ Broad range of post graduate clinical experience including comprehensive rotational experience
Desirable criteria
- ▪ Evidence of having worked in the UK as a HPC registered Physiotherapist
- ▪ Evidence of having worked unsupervised
- ▪ Experience of facilitating learning with undergraduate students
Skills and knowledge
Essential criteria
- ▪ The ability to discuss the clinical reasoning process in the management of complex cases
- ▪ The ability to identify and act upon adverse clinical signs
- ▪ Good communication skills both verbal and written when interacting with members of the team, other staff, patients and their families
- ▪ The ability to work effectively in a team environment
Other requirements
Essential criteria
- The physical ability to perform and cope with all aspects of manual handling as demanded by the job role
- Available for on-call and weekend duties where appropriate
- The ability to move between sites within ABHB or patients’ residences if required by the job role
Desirable criteria
- The ability to speak Welsh
