This is a key role reporting to and supported by the Head and Deputy Head of the HRBP Team in assisting the delivery, prioritisation and reporting of the Trust’s HR Business Partners function.

The postholder will be responsible for providing administration and business support to the HR Business Partner Team.

The postholder will support the Senior Management Team with communication of complicated and sensitive information at all levels of the Organisation, planning complex activities which might require coordination, analysis and adjustments.

The postholder will have the overall responsibility to manage, maintain and develop the directorate’s database management system.

This post calls for a highly motivated individual who can use their own initiative, work to set deadlines, deal with complex issues and is comfortable working under pressure.

The postholder requires diligence and attention to detail to manage the complex and varied workload and will undertake corporate roles and responsibilities in accordance with the grade and nature of the post.

Skills & Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Previous knowledge of administration and line management.
  • Proficient in the use of IT using Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint and other IT packages including Datix or similar relational database, with good keyboard skills to manipulate data.
  • An ability to always maintain confidentiality and trust.
  • Demonstrate a strong desire to improve performance and make a difference by focusing on goals.
  • Ability to negotiate and influence others.
  • Ability to problem solve with good attention to detail.

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of working within an HR environment.
Desirable criteria
  • Previous experience working in NHS or other public sector.

  • Flexible, and ability to meet the travel needs of the post, prepared to travel both regionally and nationally.

Qualifications

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or working towards or equivalent HR experience
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures, range of computerised software, safety specialised terminology
